Under the patronage and presence of the Acting Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Abdulmohsen Al-Tabtabaei, the Cultural Committee of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature held the event “Kuwaiti Writer’s Day,” during which writer and theater critic Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Bilal was honored in appreciation and recognition of Kuwaiti writers. The event took place in the College of Arts Theater Hall – South Building, and was presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Faraj, a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature.

The event was attended by the Acting Head of the Department, Prof. Hussein Bu Abbas, the Chair of the Cultural Committee in the department, Prof. Nouria Al-Roumi, the honoree Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Bilal and his family. Also, the event included many attendees such as: The Assistant Undersecretary for the Press and Publishing Sector representing the Minister of Information Mr. Lafi Al-Subaie, the Assistant Secretary General for the Arts Sector at the National Council for Culture Arts and Letters Mr. Musaad Al-Zamel, the Dean of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts Dr. Hussein Al-Hakam, representing the President of the Kuwaiti Artists Association Dr. Khaled Al-Qallaf, the President of the Kuwaiti Writers Association Mr. Humaidi Al-Mutairi, as well as a large number of faculty members, and students.
