The Department of Media at the College of Arts held an orientation meeting for the first cohort of students admitted to the Master Program for the academic year 2025–2026 on Wednesday, June 25. The event was attended by Dr. Manaf Basheer, Director of the Master Program, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Hashimi, Head of the Media Department, the admitted students, and several faculty members from the department. 

This year marks the launch of the Master Program in the Department of Media for the first time, with 15 applicants admitted based on their undergraduate GPA and performance in the written exam. 

During the meeting, Dr. Manaf Basheer gave a visual presentation outlining the program’s structure, including coursework, the master’s thesis, and the final project, in addition to some graduate studies regulations related to the program. 

The meeting provided an opportunity for admitted students and faculty members to get to know one another and engage in mutual discussions about research interests and academic backgrounds.
