English Day Event

Image

Today’s event was a revival of the English Day—a student activity celebrating the creativity, hard work, and talents of our students. This event was opportunity to support and exhibit students achievements. The event took place in the Arts South building auditorium.
This art- and literature-themed event was hosted by Maha Al-Hamlan and Deema Al-Asfoor.

It featured two student presentations (The West, the Art, the Script by Raya Al-Fuzair and The Commodification of Intelligence in Twentieth-Century Dystopian Fiction by Jood BinSabt) and a musical piece by Usama Al-Awadhi, followed by a one-act play titled “A Kuwaiti Proposal.” The play was performed by Yasmeen Al-Shimmari, Budoor Al-Shimmari and Reem Mahmoud.

After the performances, the entire audience joined the adjacent hall to enjoy the student art gallery, which displayed paintings, drawings, and pottery works of twenty different students.

The event was sponsored by four companies: DressedDeli, La Fete, Panda Cakes and Farooj Republic.
